Dua Istikhara is a clear and helpful guide for anyone who wants to understand Istikhara in simple language. Many people search for istikhara signs because they want to know how to recognize the answer after performing the prayer, especially for marriage or other important decisions.
Istikhara is a Sunnah prayer that helps a Muslim ask Allah for the best choice. It is often done for marriage, work, travel, business, study, or any matter where the right choice is not clear. The purpose is to ask Allah for what is good and to stay away from what is harmful.
What Is Istikhara?
Istikhara means asking Allah to guide you toward the better option. It is a prayer of trust, humility, and reliance on Allah. A person performs it when they feel unsure and want help from Allah in choosing the right path.
Some people think Istikhara must always bring a dream. That is not true. Sometimes the answer comes through ease, peace, or the way the matter develops after the prayer. The real goal is to ask sincerely and then accept Allah’s plan.

English Meaning
O Allah, I seek Your guidance by Your knowledge, and I seek strength by Your power, and I ask You from Your great bounty. You have power and I have none. You know and I do not know. You are the Knower of the unseen.
O Allah, if You know that this matter is good for me in my religion, my life, and the end of my affairs, then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me.
And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my life, and the end of my affairs, then turn it away from me and turn me away from it. Grant me goodness wherever it may be, and make me satisfied with it.

Peace in the heart about the decision.
Easier progress in the matter.
Unexpected obstacles or delays.
A clearer feeling to move forward or step back.

Sometimes the sign is very subtle. Your heart may feel lighter, or you may notice that the wrong option slowly becomes less attractive. The important thing is to stay patient and trust Allah’s wisdom.
How Long Should You Wait for Signs?
